Conversation without censorship: a round table with bloggers about satellite communications will take place within SATCOMRUS 2025 conference

On October 2, 2025, a discussion round table with editors, authors and correspondents of leading Telegram channels about space and telecom will be held in Moscow as part of the 30th anniversary international SATCOMRUS 2025 conference. The topic of the discussion is “Satellite communications: conversation without censorship.”

The round table will be held in parallel with the second session of SATCOMRUS 2025. The participants will be:

• Mikhail Kotov, science journalist, cosmonautics popularizer, author of TASS News Agency and his own Telegram channel ‘Liftoff Contact’ («Контакт подъема»);
• Roman Belousov, science journalist, author of the Telegram channel ‘Space Chronicon’ («Космический Хроникон»);
• Sergey Apresov, journalist, popularizer of science, editor-in-chief of the website ‘Pro Kosmos’ («Pro Космос»);
• Nicholas Oxman, cosmonautics popularizer, representative of and Stratolink startup and Aeroplatform LLC, author of the Telegram channel ‘Cosmodiver’ («Космодайвер»);
• Ilya Ovchinnikov, space engineer, spacecraft specialist, director of Development in the company ‘Education of the Future’ («Образование будущего»), author of the Telegram channel ‘Kind Ovchinnikov’ («Добрый Овчинников»);
• Marat Hayrapetyan, space engineer, member of satellites’ development team, Mars simulation mission specialist, author of the project “Jura, we can do it!” («Юра, мы справимся!»), ambassador of the ‘Techprosvet’ («Техпросвет») project at Vk.com;
• Anastasia Medvedeva, producer and journalist, ambassador and chief organizer of ‘Yuri’s Night’ festival, author of the Telegram channel of the same name about space business and marketing news;
• Alisa Zaripova, popularizer of science, author of the ‘Alice in Wonder New Space’ Telegram channel and the ‘New Space’ project. Alisa also works in a space education field and develops a mission to Ceres;
• Savva Naumov, editor, scripter, and translator for the Telegram channel ‘Karman Line’ («Линия Кармана»), author of the humorous space-themed TG-channel ‘SpaceMemes’.

Alexey Volin, General Director of RSCC, Chairman of the Industrial Competence Center ‘Satellite Communications’, as well as Yury Urlichich, Adviser to General Director of RSCC, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Satellite Communications Market Players will become like-minded ones or opponents of the participants in this discussion.

They will speak about issues of space popularization, attracting and retaining young specialists in the industry, the prospects for public-private partnership in Russia and new industrial startups, as well as the distant future of space exploration.
