RSCC continues to develop satellite services in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): Alexey Volin, General Director of RSCC, and Alexey Vdovin, Head of the Business Development Service, held a series of talks in Yakutsk. They met with Anatoly Semenov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Yakutia; Vasily Efimov, Minister of Innovation, Digital Development and Infocommunication Technologies of the republic; Viktor Sergeev, General Director of LLC Arktik Telecom and Ivan Krivoshapkin, General Director of GBU RCIT. Representatives of RSCC discussed with key customers of the region the tasks of improving satellite services and joint plans for the future.
RSCC and LLC Arktik Telecom have been providing people with high-quality wireless access to the Internet even in the most remote settlements of Yakutia for many years. "So, in 2022, 211 sites of federal digital terrestrial TV in the republic have been fully switched to the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 satellites. In 2023, together with LLC Arktik Telecom, we presented the Arctic Wi-Fi project, which allows residents of remote villages to use all necessary services. Together, we also help to restore communication during natural disasters. For example, in 2021, the specialists of the regional operator used VSAT stations and the capabilities of the Express-AM5 spacecraft to establish television and radio broadcasting and the Internet in the settlements of Yakutia affected by devastating fires. All this time, we are constantly increasing the connection speed and improving our services," said Alexey Volin.
"RSCC is the largest satellite operator with a rich history, more than 50 years of experience in creating and operating communication and broadcasting systems in Russia and most countries of the world. We are united by long-term partnerships. Together, we have already implemented more than one project to develop communications in the republic, organized the distribution of republican TV and radio channels through the satellite network throughout the territory of Yakutia and most of the Far Eastern Federal District, provided uninterrupted Internet to villages in which there is either no broadband or it is limited," Viktor Sergeev confirmed.
During the trip, there was also a visit to the regional Ministry of Innovation, Digital Development and Infocommunication Technologies, the center for digital education of children "IT-cube", the creative cluster "Quarter of Labor" and the receiving station of the deep space communication system "Orbita".
