Iron character: The Space Communications Center Zheleznogorsk noted 20 years of work

20 years ago, on May 27, 2004, the eastern point of the ground-based satellite control complex RSCC was founded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Today, the Space Communications Center (SCC) Zheleznogorsk provides Siberia, the Far East and the Arctic with satellite communications and television broadcasting services, including Internet access and maritime along the Northern Sea Route. The SCC specialists work on new technologies and guarantee uninterrupted round-the-clock operation of Russian Express satellites.

At the ceremony, Alexey Volin, General Director of RSCC, congratulated his colleagues on the anniversary and said that “the SCC Zheleznogorsk has big plans, because for 20 years you have proven yourself from the best side. The development of the second space for teleport is beginning, so we are waiting for new achievements, because there are new tasks and opportunities ahead.” Alexey Volin stressed that the comfortable environment created by the administration of the city and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as productive relations with partners, primarily with RESHETNEV JSC, which also celebrates its anniversary next week, plays an important role in the success of the work of the Space Communications Center Zheleznogorsk. The main satellite-building enterprise of the country turns 65 years old. In honor of this event, RSCC took the initiative to give the name of RESHETNEV JSC to the star. Alexey Volin presented the certificate of inclusion of the name of the star of RESHETNEV JSC in the International Catalog of Celestial Bodies to a representative of the company in a solemn atmosphere.

Within the framework of the event, employees of the SCC Zheleznogorsk were also awarded the badge "Honorary Radio Operator" of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media and the honorary badges of the RSCC "For personal contribution to the development of space communications" of the I and II degrees. The gratitude of the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media was announced to several teleport employees, and eleven more were awarded certificates of honor by RSCC.
