Connecting Kolyma: RSCC and RTComm.Ru discussed development of communication networks in the Far East

Alexey Vdovin, the head of RSCC Business Development Service, and Kirill Filippov, adviser to the Company's Director General, visited the teleport of RTComm.Ru JSC in Magadan and conducted negotiations with operator's representatives.

During the meeting, the companies discussed the expansion of cooperation and existing communication networks, as well as the development of promising joint projects.

"RTComm.Ru JSC is a long-standing partner of RSCC: the operator provides services to users throughout the country, including in the Far Eastern Federal District, using the company's satellite resource. Now the spacecraft of Russian Satellite Communications Company cover 90% of the Far Eastern Federal District with a population of about 8 million people. In remote areas, including the Arctic zone, which is essential for Russia, only satellite can provide high-quality communications and the Internet," said Alexey Vdovin.

According to RTComm.Ru JSC, within the framework of the project of bridging the digital divide in the Arctic zone, the company is going to open a number of channels in the Far Eastern Federal District using the satellite resource of Russian Satellite Communications Company.

During a visit to Magadan, the RSCC delegation also met with representatives of the TV Company - TV-Kolyma Plus and discussed topical issues in the field of broadcasting.
