Satellite Safe and Secure: RSCC Opens New Situation Center

Russian Satellite Communications Company opens RSCC's new Situation Center, which will improve reliability of the services provided by the enterprise. It will become a unified complex of technical support and traffic monitoring for clients.

The high-end software and hardware Center has been created on the basis of the operations control department of RSCC. After an upgrade, it is equipped with modern technical facilities and an automatic emergency alert system.

"Reliable services and quick response to any contingency are among Russian Satellite Communications Company's top priorities. And to ensure information security has been one of the most important objectives in recent years. RSCC Situation Center will handle those tasks," said Alexey Volin, RSCC’s Director General, during his visit to the new complex.

The Situation Center focuses on the round-the-clock monitoring of the functioning of the enterprise's infrastructure and space communication networks, and ensures uninterrupted broadcasting of federal TV and radio programs. In addition, the Center is a ground for prompt exchange of information with Russian ministries and agencies.
