The satellite delivers: RSCC takes part in the activities for launching a communication centre of AMTEL-SVYAZ JSC in Barnaul

The delegation of Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) visited the Altai Central Satellite Earth Station (CSES) and took part in the launch of a communication centre based on the equipment of AMTEL-SVYAZ JSC (part of ROSATOM).

After being upgraded, the station has been operating through RSCC’s Express-103 (Russian and southern beam), and Express-AM5 vehicles; it can also operate through the Express 80, Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 satellites. It is capable of covering with satellite communication services not only the Altai Territory, but also Siberia and the Far East. The station provides vessels operating on the Northern Sea Route with communication as well.

Both VSAT networks and dedicated SCPC satellite channels are available at the CSES. The networks deployed at this station are part of the unified satellite ecosystem of AMTEL-SVYAZ JSC, which allows seamless roaming from satellite to satellite of stations in motion, which is relevant for sea and river vessels.

The parties negotiated further expansion of the satellite communication networks of AMTEL-SVYAZ JSC through RSCC’s Express-AMU7 spacecraft at the satellite station. Russian Satellite Communications Company is a chief partner of AMTEL-SVYAZ JSC.
