RSCC presented a special prize of the national Golden Ray award
The ceremony was held with the support of Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC), a Federal State Unitary Enterprise. The award was established by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAT) with the aim of setting quality standards for the creation of thematic programs and channels, as well as for promoting the further development of the industry.
Every year RSCC acts as a partner of the award, and RSCC representatives are included in the award’s expert jury. This year, RSCC presented a special prize, For Contribution to the Development of Satellite Broadcasting Technologies, to the NTV-PLUS company. The award was presented to the TV channel by Lyudmila Mikhaylina, Head of the TV and International Sales Department of RSCC. Presenting the special prize, Lyudmila Mikhaylina emphasized that digital satellite television is currently one of the main drivers of the industry, thanks to which viewers throughout Russia are getting access to many television and radio channels in the advanced high-tech HD formats.
NTV-PLUS is Russia’s first satellite TV operator. For more than 20 years, NTV-PLUS has been a leader in the domestic Pay TV market. The start of digital broadcasting in Russia, the appearance of the first TV channels in HD, the unification of satellite and OTT technologies on a single platform of digital services - all these developments are closely related to the history of the channel. Today NTV-PLUS provides satellite broadcasts throughout Russia, from Kaliningrad to the Kuril Islands. The satellite platform makes available to viewers more than 340 TV channels of all genres and in multiple languages. Broadcasting is carried out from the satellites "Eutelsat 36B", "Express AMU1" (36 degrees E), "Express AT1" (56 degrees E), "Express-AT2" (140 degrees E).
