Moscow is hosting an international conference SATELLITE RUSSIA & CIS 2021 in partnership with RSCC

The event has been arranged by IG ComNews. The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) has acted as an innovation partner of the forum.

The two-day program of the SATELLITE RUSSIA & CIS 2021 conference covers all aspects and sectors of the satellite communications and broadcasting market - from the provision of communications, broadcasting and remote sensing services to the production of spacecraft and ground equipment, launch services and the commercialization of space activities.

At the Day 1 plenary session, the speakers discussed the main trends in the satellite industry, the growing impact of the satellite segment on the formation of 5G networks and satellite opportunities for IoT services. They also talked about the prospects for new non-geostationary constellations. Panelists also highlighted the changes in the industry caused by the coronavirus pandemic and shared their predictions for the recovery of the satellite communications market in the post-pandemic period.

On Day 2 of the conference, Sergey Plotnikov, Director of the RSCC Department for Infocommunication Technologies and Multimedia Services, will take part in the discussions within the framework of the session “Market for Direct Satellite TV Broadcasting (DTH): Changes and Prospects”.
