RSCC enters TOP-15 world's biggest satellite operators

As noted by the analysts, the FSS industry has been experiencing a transition period in recent years. "For 2019, the industry had a total revenue of $10.8 bn (excluding vertically integrated operators), with the revenue reduced by 5.3% year-on-year. It was the steepest drop in revenue since 2015," the report said.  Among the challenges facing satellite operators are the evolution of the HTS satellite segment and, as a consequence, cheapening capacity, the decline in demand for video content delivery, as well as the effects of the global economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In spite of negative external factors, RSCC manages to maintain and strengthen its position in the global satellite communications market. Thus, compared to 2015, RSCC has risen several lines in the Euroconsult ranking, from 17th to 11th place. In particular, this was facilitated by the expansion of the portfolio of value-added services and the active work of the company in foreign markets. Today, RSCC provides services in 58 countries on 4 continents.
