Zheleznogorsk Space Communications Center is 15 years old
The Zheleznogorsk Space Communications Center (SCC) is a branch of the RSCC and the largest teleport in Siberia. It was set up in 2004 as a stronghold of the eastern part of the RSCC satellite group. The official birthday of the SCC is May 27, 2004.
At present, the Zheleznogorsk SCC technical complex supports control and monitoring of the communication satellites in geostationary orbit in orbital positions from 32° to 154° E, ensures acceptance tests and monitoring of payload of RSCC satellites, and organizes broadcasts of all-Russian digital television and radio programs to the Far East and Siberia.
The Zheleznogorsk SCC has an extensive park of antenna systems for various purposes, including the provision of communication services for residents of Siberia, the Far East and the Polar Region.
