The results of the tenders for the production of three more Express series satellites have been announced
Three promising geostationary communications and broadcasting satellites for RSCC — Express-AT3, Express-AT4 and Express-AMU8 — are to be manufactured by RESHETNEV JSC. The tender results were announced on March 16, 2026.
JSC RESHETNEV and Gazprom SPKA were invited to participate in three tenders announced on February 26. The tender criteria were the same as those for the four spacecraft at the end of 2025: 70% price, 20% experience, and 10% quality management system. Only JSC RESHETNEV submitted an application this time and was declared the winner.
The total cost of producing the three spacecraft will be 43,970.3 million rubles. Following the competitive bidding process, the price was reduced by 80 million rubles to the initial maximum contract price.
Thus, following the tenders in late 2025 and early 2026, JSC RESHETNEV will be required to manufacture seven satellites for the RSCC. Furthermore, work continues on the Express-AMU4 satellite, for which JSC RESHETNEV won the tender in 2022.
The total cost of the seven spacecraft is 110 billion rubles. It is 5 billion rubles less than the September 2024 price proposals. Two satellites—Express-AMU4 and Express-AT3, which is intended to replace the failed AT1—are being built using the company's own funds.
