Strong Partners - a Cosmic Result: Alexey Volin, RSCC Director General, and Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, discussed the prospects for cooperation in the region and the renewal of the GSO- fleet
Mikhail Kotyukov, the head of the Krasnoyarsk Region, visited the updated Zheleznogorsk teleport. The governor got acquainted with the technical capabilities of the enterprise and discussed with Alexey Volin the development of space communications, in particular, the manufacture and launch of geostationary satellites, which will be produced in 2029-2030, as well as the RSCC’ operation in the region.
"Currently, RSCC is actively working on implementing contracts for 4 spacecraft with JSC RESHETNEV, which are scheduled to be manufactured by the end of 2029. Moreover, we have announced a competition for 3 additional satellites. Fulfilling our obligations, maintaining technological leadership, and further developing the industry are top priorities for RSCC," said Alexey Volin.
The team of Zheleznogorsk Satellite Communications Center (SCC) was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region for their long-term, conscientious work and high professionalism.
"Among the strategic tasks that are relevant for the region and that the company is solving are the maritime connectivity along the Northern Sea Route, as well as communications services in Evenkia and Taimyr. The speed of data exchange largely determines the pace of economic development. The communication infrastructure and the specialists who maintain it are highly valued worldwide," noted Mikhail Kotyukov.
