The results of the tenders for the manufacture of four Express series satellites have been announced
RESHETNEV JSC will manufacture four promising geostationary communications and broadcasting satellites of RSCC – Express-AMU6, Express-40, Express-AMU51 and Express-AMU52. The results of four competitions for four spacecraft became known on December 15.
RESHETNEV JSC and Gazprom AIT Facility LLC participated in the competitions, which were announced on November 17. According to the commercial proposals received before the start of the competition, the maximum price of the satellites was 66.53 billion rubles, of which:
- for Express-AMU6 spacecraft – 17.79 billion rubles;
- for Express-40 – 17.75 billion rubles;
- for Express-AMU51 – 15.53 billion rubles;
- for Express-AMU52 – 15.46 billion rubles.
The criteria of the competition were: 70% – price, 20% – experience, 10% – quality management system.
On December 13, the results were summed up. JSC RESHETNEV offered to manufacture the satellites at a price of:
- 17.78 billion rubles for "Express-AMU6";
- 17.74 billion rubles for "Express-40";
- 14.98 billion rubles for "Express-AMU51";
- 15.45 billion rubles for "Express-AMU52".
The total amount was 65.95 billion rubles.
In turn, Gazprom AIT Facility LLC stated the following cost:
"Express-AMU6" – 17.409 billion rubles;
"Express-40" – 17.732 billion rubles;
"Express-AMU51" -14.373 billion rubles;
"Express-AMU52" – 15.004 billion rubles.
The total amount: 64.518 billion rubles.
According to the results of the tenders, Gazprom AIT Facility LLC offered a 2% lower price for Express-AMU6; a 0.4% lower price for Express-40; a 4% lower price for Express-AMU51 and a 2.9% lower price for Express-AMU52. Despite this, RESHETNEV JSC has extensive experience in creating spacecraft, which gives an estimate of +20%. RESHETNEV JSC wins in the competitions for the manufacture of four satellites of RSCC.
All four satellites should be produced by the end of 2029.
The Express-AMU6 spacecraft will replace the Express-AM6 at the 53° E, Express-40 will enter the 40° E orbital position instead of the Express-AM7 spacecraft, and Express-AMU51 and Express-AMU52 will go to the 140° E and replace the existing Express-AM5 and Express-AT2 spacecraft.
