On December 3-8 2006, the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) – a global satellite communications operator – will take part in the largest world exhibition ITU TELECOM WORLD in Hong Kong (China) as a member of the Russian Pavilion. RSCC will present wide capabilities of the Russian state satellite constellation in the field of the digital TV and multimedia services.
RSCC’ specialists will tell about the Express-AM satellites capabilities in terms of TV and radio broadcasting in different standards including HDTV (high definition television), as well as occasional use, broadband data transmission, telephony, Internet access, VSAT-networks and IP-application. The Express-AM satellite services are available at any region of Russia, the CIS, as well as in Europe, America, North Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Australia. The high power characteristics of the Express-AM satellites make them attractive for broadcasters, VSAT-operators, Internet-providers and enable them to provide telecommunications services of the highest quality and reliability using less-expensive ground equipment.
In the context of the new Federal Space Program of Russia till 2015 RSCC started manufacturing new Express-AM33 and Express-AM44 spacecraft. The launch of which is scheduled for September and December 2007 at 96.5 degrees East and 11 degrees West, respectively. RSCC’s experts will tell about technical parameters and capabilities of new spacecraft to render fixed communications services, TV&Radio broadcasting, C- and Ku-band multimedia services.
