Department Director for Integration Services and Complex Projects at RSCC Andrei Kirilovich has delivered a keynote speech at the VSAT networks conference hosted within the framework of the international exhibition 'SatCom Africa 2014' that is taking place on May 20-21 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Department Director for Integration Services and Complex Projects at Russian Satellite Communications Company Andrei Kirilovich has delivered a keynote speech at the VSAT networks conference hosted within the framework of the international exhibition 'SatCom Africa 2014' that is taking place on May 20-21 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The speech drew a lively response from participants in and visitors to the conference –African telecommunications operators and service providers. The presentation provided to the audience available options and ways of reducing capital and operating costs related to the building of VSAT networks using Russian satellites and broadcasting systems. Kirillovich made it a point that "RSCC, operating in collaboration with its partners, has developed a turnkey solution for deployment of satellite networks in the African region with the lowest cost of ownership. Russian advanced satellites 'Express-AM6', AM7 and AM8 to be launched into orbit in 2014 will provide the requisite technological base". 

RSCC regards Africa as its one of the key target overseas markets, where the company plans on significantly strengthening its position after putting into operation three new satellites.  The RSCC solutions will enable African service providers to significantly improve the economic effect and profitability of satellite networks for such applications as departmental and corporate networks, remote reference lines for cellular base stations, ground channel reservation, broadband internet access, content delivery, universal communications service, remote learning, telemedicine, etc.
