On February 4-5, 2021, Moscow hosted the Big National Forum on Information Security "Infoforum-2021".
The event was held with the support of the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Central Federal District, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSB of Russia and many other federal and regional departments and authorities. RSCC acted as a partner of the current forum, which was also attended by RSCC delegates.
Infoforum-2021 opened with a plenary session on “Sustainable Development of Russia in the Digital Age: Overcoming Information Security Risks”. The issues discussed were import substitution and state support for the Russian information security industry, transition to domestic software, and security of critical information infrastructure and communication networks in Russia. At the session devoted to communications infrastructure, the experts spoke about the prospects for 5G networks in Russia and security issues accompanying the deployment of such networks. Also reviewed was the issue of ensuring reliability of advanced satellite communication systems and flexible spacecraft payloads.
