Russian satellite services operator RSCC and the Middle-East services provider “HorizonSat” reached an agreement on the use of a significant amount of “Express-AM6” Satellite capacity. This strategical decision came shortly after CABSAT-2017 exhibition in March 2017.

“HorizonSat” (UAE) entered into an agreement with RSCC on the use of Express-AM6 (53° E) satellite capacity in Ku-band to provide communications and broadband services in the Middle East and Central Asia. The services will be provided from the HorizonSat teleport based in Munich (Germany).

HorizonSat Executive Vice-President, Hisham Ansari, stressed that “Express-AM6 has optimized coverage areas over the Middle East and Central Asia regions, as well as the required connections between Europe and Central Asia, which allows us to use HorizonSat teleport in Munich connected to the high-speed Internet backbones”.

“The contract between RSCC and “HorisonSat” will enable both companies to strengthen their strategical positions in the above-mentioned regions and to bring the cooperation between the two companies on a new level,” said Ksenia Drozdova, Deputy Director General and Head of the RSCC Business Development Department.
