RSCC Director Yu.V. Prokhorov told O.G. Dukhovnitsky and A.V. Sokolov about the results of the first year of implementing the project on satellite broadband access in the Ka-band in Russia, as well as on new agreements with foreign partners.
The Sviaz-2017 exhibition was held in Moscow from April 25 - 28, 2017 in the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya. RSCC executives and specialists took part in the enlarged meeting of Rossvyaz to review the results of 2016 and plans for 2017, and also presented a jubilee exposition timed to the 50th anniversary of RSCC and the satellite communications and broadcasting industry in this country.
One of the highlights of the business program at the exhibition was the presentation at the RSCC stand, dedicated to the implementation of the project for provision of satellite broadband access services in the Ka-band. Evgeny Buidinov, RSCC Deputy Director General for Innovative Development, and Sergey Pekhterev, Head of Altegro Sky Group, spoke about the dynamics of the demand for services in various regions, positive changes in the situation of the satellite Internet market for private users, and also about various approaches of service providers to tariff policies. All the main partners working together with RSCC on the project implementation were represented at the stand, including RTComm, Altegro Sky, Raduga-Internet, Ka-Internet, and KB Iskra.
Evgeny Buidinov also announced a series of commemorative business events dedicated to the discussion of topical issues in the field of satellite communications. Together with its partners, RSCC is holding such events all over Russia. Regional events under the general title Business Dialogue: Satellite Internet will be held June 21-22 in Krasnoyarsk and August 23-24 in Khabarovsk. The final event of this marathon will be the anniversary conference SATCOMRUS-2017, to be held on November 1, 2017 in Moscow.
