RSCC opens the season of business events at CSTB Telecom & Media 2019

On January 29-31, 2019, Moscow exhibition center Crocus Expo hosted the 21st International Exhibition and Forum CSTB-2019, one of the main events of the media and broadcast industry in Russia. At its exposition “Satellites for Digital Future”, RSCC presented innovative solutions for content delivery and broadband communication services using its own satellite constellation.

As part of the CSTB business program, RSCC and Telesputnik Publishing House held a round table on the role of satellite technologies in video content delivery, moderated by Sergey Plotnikov, Director of Infocommunication Technologies and Multimedia Services of RSCC, and Alexander Kaligin, Chief Editor of Telesputnik Publishing House. The round table was attended by Konstantin Anokhin, Commercial Director of Ngenix; Dmitriy Mozzhegorov, Head of NTV-Plus; Sergey Pekhterev, CEO of AltegroSky; Yuri Rezvyakov, Technical Director of Tricolor; Konstantin Saltykov, Director of Technical Department of Orion Group; Julia Shakhmanova, CEO of STV; Alexey Lipilin, Strategy and Development Director of MTS Satellite TV.

On the second day of the exhibition, the RSCC’s stand hosted a series of presentations of satellite broadband access projects. Svetlana Sirotkina, Director General of Ka-Internet JSC, spoke about the advantages of satellite Ka-band in regional telecommunication projects. Andrey Romulov, CEO of Strizh, spoke on the topic “Strizh Internet Operator: Communication Omni-Channels”.  Andrey Abramov, Manager of the Operator and Corporate Solutions Sales of RSCC, presented innovative solutions using modern Express-AM satellites based on RSCC’s maritime VSAT technology, which allows providing a wide range of digital communication and broadcasting services on sea vessels of various classes and categories. Currently, more than 260 marine vessels operate in RSCC’s VSAT network.

On January 29, the Big Figure National Award ceremony was held, which has its tenth anniversary this year. The Organizing Committee awarded the RSCC “For Invaluable Contribution to the Development of the Telecom and Media Industry and Support of the Big Digit Award”. This year, MidExpo received the RSCC’s Special Award “For Contribution to the Development of Satellite Communications and Broadcasting in Russia”. The award was given by Sergey Plotnikov, Director of Infocommunication Technologies and Multimedia Services.
