On March 30 to April 1 the Russian national satellite communications operator – RSCC (Russian Satellite Communications Company) - will present at the China TV&Radio broadcasting exhibition China Cable Broadcasting Network 2007 (CCBN 2007) in Beijing  the Russian satellite capabilities in providing the most advanced services for customers in Russia, China and the Asia Pacific region. In addition, it will have a working meeting with the Chinese fixed communications operator China NetCom (CNC) where co-operation between two companies in implementing the decisions of the Russian – Chinese intergovernmental commission on communications and information technologies is to be discussed.

The RSCC’ satellites provide a wide range of communications and broadcasting services over the whole territory of Russia and China,  therefore since 2001 RSCC actively develops co-operation with the largest satellite communications operator of China – ChinaSatCom corporation.  In the context of co-operation the companies jointly support commercial customers from Russia, China and other countries.

In 2006 RSCC started cooperating with one of the largest fixed communications operators in China – CNC company. The both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing international TV transmission from  2008 Olympic Games. RSCC and CNC have reached agreements on co-operation in providing the Russian Right Holding Broadcasters (as for Olympic Games transmission onto the territory of Russia and CIS) with communications and broadcasting services during 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

At present, the telecommunication traffic between Russia and China grows stably and the Russian communications operators are interested in developing the networks in south-eastern direction. RSCC is planning to deliver into orbit in September 2007 the new Express-AM33 satellite (96.5 East) equipped with powerful steerable beams in C- and Ku-band to provide digital TV&Radio services including High Definition TV as well as to develop corporative networks in Russia, China and other countries in South-Eastern Asia.

We invite you to visit the RSCC’ exposition at CCBN 2007 exhibition  (Hall 1 B, stand B 138) and make yourselves familiar with the new Russian satellite constellation’s potentialities and the new Express-AM33 spacecraft in the field of satellite communications and broadband broadcasting.
