The Center was built under the Federal Target Program of Development of TV and Radio Broadcasting in 2009-2015.
The Federal Compression and Multiplexing Center (FCMC)has been inaugurated at RSCC’s ‘Shabolovka’ Technical Center in Moscow on January 27th, 2014. The new capability will make it possible to prepare and generate the All-Russia Program Package, forming part of the 1st Federal Multiplex for subsequent transmission to the Russian TV & Radio Networks for distribution. RSCC was tasked to build the FCMC under the Federal Target Program, Development of TV and Radio Broadcasting in 2009-2015.
2014 will also see the completion of satellite support infrastructure to distribute Multiplexes 1, 2 and 2 (regional)to include the capacity of four Express satellites - АМ5, AM6, AM7, and AM8.
