RSCC and Earthly Orbit Communications Limited expand their partnership

The partners have agreed that Earthly Orbit will sell and promote capacity on the new Russian satellites, which are scheduled for launch in 2014, in particular 6 transponders on Express-AM8. Express-AM8 will be located at the 14 degrees west slot and is due for launch in September 2014.

RSCC and UK-based Earthly Orbit Communications Limited are pleased to announce the continued expansion of their co-operation.  Earthly Orbit has been successfully promoting and managing RSCC capacity since 2006. The co-operation between the two companies has started from selling capacity on the Russian Express-A3 and Express-A4 satellites. Recent years have seen excellent sales growth.   Earthly Orbit is now promoting and selling new communications services and ready integrated end-to-end solutions based on the RSCC satellite resources. The commercial co-operation between Earthly Orbit and RSCC has developed into a strategic partnership.

The strategic partnership between Earthly Orbit and RSCC sees Earthly Orbit reshape its business to become purely focused on the provision of RSCC capacity.   Earthly Orbit is technically and commercially supported by RSCC   and is authorised to provide link budget calculations, transmission plans, ongoing transponder management and technical support.

“Since 2006 our relationship with RSCC has gone from strength to strength. We are therefore delighted to be appointed as a Strategic Partner, implementing RSCC business plans outside Russia.
