RSCC acted as partner of jubilee 10th VSAT’ 2018 Championship

The 10th All-Russian High-Speed VSAT installation Championship was held in the suburbs of Moscow on June 7, 2018. The event was organized by the AltegroSky Group in partnership with RSCC and with the support of the Federal Communications Agency (Rossvyaz). Participating in the event were Russian satellite communication operators, manufacturers of satellite equipment, and leading industry media.

Deputy-head of Rossvyaz Igor Chursin read out a message of greeting from the head of Rossvyaz Oleg Duhovnitsky and noted: "Today the development of VSAT-technologies is the most promising trend in the Russian broadband access market, requiring an increasing number of specialists in this field."

The jubilee 10th VSAT'2018 Championship confirmed its status of the largest and unique professional VSAT installer show in Russia and the CIS. Eleven teams from various regions of Russia and CIS countries, including Ukraine, took part in the Championship. For the first time in the history of the Championship, two women's teams wearing the AltegroSky colors competed for the prize.

The program of the VSAT`2018 Championship featured competitions in two categories: high-speed VSAT installation, and high-speed patch cord and RF cable making. A special competition event was also organized by the general partner of the Championship - Gazprom Space Systems JSC. Winning teams were identified in each kind of competition and based on the aggregate results of all competitions. The results of the competitions were evaluated by a competent jury, in which RSCC was represented by Andrey Mitroshin, director of the Department of Infrastructure Projects.

The main prize of the Championship for the first place in the all-around competition went to the Telecom-Service team from Krasnoarmeysk, the second place was taken by the Radio Company Vector" team from Chistopol (Tatarstan), and the third place went to Twisted Pair, a women's team from Moscow. The awards were given to the team members at an official ceremony by Vitaliy A. Kramar, General Director of AltegroSky.
