Leaders of the Russian market of satellite internet told how the COVID-19 pandemic affects business and what is going on in the satellite broadband access sector today

In a series of interviews of the professional community members, the heads of the largest Russian satellite broadband access operator companies told about their vision of development of satellite Internet in Russia in an uneasy situation, when the market situation was complicated due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the ruble decline.

Sergey Pekhterev, shareholder of KA-Internet JSC, shared his business experience in the era of global self-isolation, told about changing user habits, as well as how the summer residents of Moscow Region reanimate their VSAT-stations.

Sergey Ratiev, General Director of RTKOMM Group of Companies, emphasized how the company maintains a high communications level, does not cancel the previously planned marketing campaigns and continues active work on promoting the satellite broadband access in a difficult time for everyone.

Andrey Romulov, Director General of Strizh LLC (Iskra Group of Companies), told about the unified digital environment within the company, how the traffic increased during the first non-working self-isolation week, as well as about the social mission of the operator’s representatives on development of digital literacy in the Russian provinces.

Evgeny Buydinov, Deputy Director General of RSCC for Communication Systems Development and Operation, completing a series of interviews, summed up the first results of work during the “quarantine time”, and announced the period of extension of the special campaign “For the 75th Anniversary of the Great Victory”.
