On Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Kolomenskoye Park in Moscow, RSCC in partnership with the Museum of Cosmonautics will present a program at Geek Picnic, a European popular-science festival.
RSCC specialists will offer a master class for visitors at which they will deploy and demonstrate the operation of an innovative satellite communication system. With its assistance, the picnic guests will get a free Internet connection. Today, thanks to the RSCC’s Express-AM series satellites, such a solution is available in the territory from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad, even in places where no terrestrial types of communication are available.
The RSCC Deputy General Director for Development and Operations Evgeny Buydinov will speaking to the audience in the SPACE tent. He will talk about the basic principles of space communication systems, the history of the domestic satellite industry and its role in the future digital economy of our country. The RSCC’s public lecture will begin at 15:00.
