Agreements to build new Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 satellites for RSCC have come into effect

Agreements between the RSCC, the Krasnoyarsk-based ISS Reshetnev Company and Europe’s Thales Alenia Space Italia have become operational. They envisage the design, manufacture, commissioning and in-orbit operation of the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 spacecraft, and also the fabrication of communications payloads for these satellites.

In accordance with the program for updating the RSCC satellite constellation, the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 communication and broadcasting spacecraft are planned to be launched into the geostationary orbit in 2020, to be placed at 96.5 and 145 degs East, respectively.
