On November 1, 2017, Moscow will be hosting SATOMRUS 2017, the 22nd international conference of operators and users of Russia’s satellite communications network
In November 2017, the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC), Russia’s operator of satellite communications, will be celebrating its anniversary. SATCOMRUS 2017 will be the prime event in a series timed to the 50th anniversary since regular satellite television broadcasting started in our country and one of the world’s largest satellite operators was established.
The main theme of the 2017 conference is "50 years in orbit: from the evolution of ideas to revolutionary technologies." In the format of panel discussions, SATCOMRUS 2017 participants will talk not only about the history of the Russian satellite communications industry, but also discuss key challenges and principal trends of its development, the tasks to be addressed and the concept of the satellite constellation of the future. Particular attention will be given to the prospects of space infrastructure and innovations in ground equipment to support the development of broadband Internet access services and data transmission.
