Space on the line: RSCC presents its satellite constellation at the International Festival of Youth
The Russian satellite operator RSCC is participating in the International Festival of Youth 2026. The event is taking place in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17. This year, the festival brought together 10,000 people from 191 countries. The company’s telecommunications services are being showcased in the “Highways of the Future” exhibition area.
RSCC’s stand was visited by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Bella Cherkesova, Governor of the Kamchatka Region Vladimir Solodov, and the Head of the Krasnoyarsk Region Mikhail Kotyukov. RSCC’s exhibition introduces visitors to modern satellite technologies, the operating principles of geostationary spacecraft, and their role in the development of telecommunications infrastructure. Using interactive panels, festival guests can explore the structure of a satellite, try to control one of the company’s 11 spacecraft, or even design a satellite themselves and launch it into a specific orbital position. The central elements of the company’s exhibit are models of the first Earth satellite and a modern spacecraft, which clearly demonstrate the development of satellite technologies. The space is complemented by a video wall featuring content about the history of the satellite communications and the future development of the company’s orbital constellation.
As part of the event, Alexey Volin answered questions from forum guests, presented the company’s promising services, and spoke about RSCC’s role in Russia’s digital leadership.
"It is impossible to provide internet, connectivity, and broadcasting coverage across the entire territory of Russia without satellite communications. Today, it is geostationary satellites that enable the delivery of TV signals to the country's entire population," noted Alexey Volin, General Director of RSCC. "RSCC not only maintains a leading position in the Russian market but also provides services in 62 countries worldwide."
The company collaborates with the country’s leading technical universities, conducting lectures and seminars for students. The interactive format of the stand aims to make complex space technologies more accessible. It helps to draw the attention of a young audience to educational and career opportunities within the space industry.
