I am happy to greet you as ones of the first visitors on the new Internet-site of the Russian national satellite communications operator  -  the Russian satellite communications company.

Season’s  greetings and best wishes for the prosperous 2010 New Year in the name of the RSCC’ team and personally from me! 

Before the Kremlin chimes have stricken and the New Year's holidays started, I would like to say some words about the outgoing year featured by really important events. The strategic decisions made in 2009, among   which   the Federal Target Program "Development of TV & Radio broadcasting for 2009 - 2015” was agreed, the Concept of developing the Russian telecommunications civil satellite fleet for the period till 2020 was prepared and the RSCC’ new space program has started, will open broad horizons to operators and broadcasters, the scientific and research community,  the manufacturers of  launch vehicles, space engineering and communications equipment as well as to the corporate and interdepartmental users and integrators.

In his address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on 12 November 2009,  Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia, marked out among the strategic priorities the development of space technologies and telecommunications. “Broadband Internet access has to be provided on the territory of our country during 5 years as well as conversion to digital TV” – according to Dmitry Medvedev. In 2009, all industry participants worked on solving this significant problem under the direction of the Ministry for Mass Media and Communications  and   the Federal Communications Agency. The President also stressed that “while introducing advanced engineering solutions and developing new generation spacecraft, we have to reach the world indices in terms of capacity and orbital active service life of the domestic communications satellites as far as by 2015”. I am convinced that the experience acquired and the brilliant staff potential, advanced technologies mastered today by our colleagues  will enable us to achieve this task.

In 2010, we have to force a breakthrough in the field of high space technologies and their application. The down point of the economic crisis in Russia coincided with launching production of  RSCC’ new spacecraft. By the beginning of the economic growth in our country the new renovated infrastructure will be prepared  significantly supporting the economic modernization.

May the new 2010 year be the year of stabilization and further development of the economy in our country, the year of daring plans and new fulfillments, great opportunities and real success. May it bring peace and joy into each home. I wish health, wealth and happiness  to you and your relatives!
