13th Annual Conference of Operators and Users of the Russian Federation Satellite Telecommunications Network

The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC), the State satellite communications operator, is arranging the 13th annual conference of operators and users of the Russian Federation satellite telecommunications network.  

The Dates of the Event:   28- 29 October, 2008. The Conference will be opened on the 28th of October 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Participants arrival on 27 October, departure on 29 October.

The place of the Event: The International Conference House of Joint Institute of Nuclear Research.
Address: Dubna, Moscow Region, Stroiteley st. 2.

The following issues are to be discussed during the conference:
• Prospects of the RSCC’ satellite constellation  development in the context of the Federal Space Program of Russia till 2015, the new Express-AM44 satellite capabilities as well as development of the RSCC’ first heavy satellite Express-AM4 ;
• role and place of the satellite communications in implementing national projects;
• current situation and outlooks of the multiprogram digital satellite broadcasting  via the  new Express-AM satellites and the Bonum-1 and W4 direct-to-home broadcasting   satellite in Russia and the CIS;
• RSCC’ experience in contribution and distribution of digital packages of All-Russian, commercial and regional TV programs, occasional TV broadcasting and data transmission in DVB-format and back-up systems;
• Operational experience and trends of the national, regional and global satellite communications network development based on the Express-AM series satellites;
• advanced digital technologies of content distribution inclusive HDTV, IPTV,MPEG4 via the new Russian Express-AM satellites.

The Conference Participants:
Officials of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the RF and other regulatory bodies, top managers of foreign and Russian satellite communications operators and broadcasters as well as telecommunication equipment producers and system integrators, investment and insurance institutions.

Registration:
The registration fee is 18 000 rubles per one participant including 18% VAT.
The fee is to be transferred onto RSCC’ account before the 17th of October 2008, after have been billed by RSCC. The invoice for payment will be issued following the receipt by the Organizing Committee of  the Registration Application-form attached hereto.

The filled Registration Application-form is to be returned to the Organizing Committee before the 15h of October, 2008 by fax: 7 (495) 730 0838, 7(495) 730 0445 (with remark “Conference”), or by e-mail: conference2008@rscc.ru. 

One may pay the fee  in cash in rubles when registering  the  conference participant.

The registration will be held:
- on the 27  of October   2008, “Dubna” Hotel.

- on the 28 of October 2008, The International Conference House of Joint Institute of Nuclear Research.
Address: Dubna, Moscow Region, Stroiteley st. 2 (from 8.30 till 9.45).

Accommodation:
DUBNA Hotel
Hotel expenses at the Dubna hotel:
- Between 660 and 3 700 rubles per night  depending on the room category

The registration fee does not include hotel accommodation.

How to get to the place of the Conference:
- By commuter train from the Savelovskiy Railway Station (Moscow) to Dubna; on the 28 of October  2008, a shuttle bus will be available for each commuter train in Dubna.
- By RSCC’ bus from SHABOLOVKA Technical Center (Moscow) to the Dubna hotel on the 27 of October 2008, Shabolovskaya Metro Station. Departure time to be clarified by the Organizing Committee.

The Exhibition of telecommunications equipment will be arranged at the Conference as well. The companies wishing to make presentations are to indicate it in the presentation type, and to contact the Organizing Committee for presentation terms and conditions.
