The Russian communications and broadcasting satellite Express-AM33 will be launched into orbit from Baikonur Cosmodrome on January 28, 2008

The new Russian communications and broadcasting satellite Express-AM33 is scheduled for launch on January 28, 2008 at 0.18 GMT on board the Proton-M rocket with Briz-M acceleration propulsion system. Express-AM33 will be included into RSCC satellite constellation and placed at 96.5 East orbital slot. Express-AM33 spacecraft is equipped with steerable antennas in C-, Ku- and L-bands and is designed to provide mobile presidential and governmental communications, video services, Internet access, data transmission as well as VSAT networks deployment.
