Russian Satellite Communications Company and China SatCom took part in the IV Session of the Russian-Chinese Working Group on Satellite Communications

On March 24, 2005 the IV Session of the Russian-Chinese working group on satellite communications was arranged in Beijing (China) between the state-owned satellite communications operators RSCC (Russia) and ChinaSatCom (China). The sessions of satellite communications operators have been held routinely in the context of the official Russian-Chinese Commission on preparation of regular meetings of the Heads of governments of Russia and China.
The state-owned operators discussed the future co-operation on mutual provision of satellite communications and broadcasting services across Russia, the People's Republic of China and other regions under regulations of the local governments. The documents signed by both parties shall provide the customers of RSCC and China SatCom with a more convenient access to their satellite capacities and earth station facilities for establishing communications channels between the territory of Russia and China. The RSCC and China SatCom shall focus on the growing demands for international TV contribution and distribution between Russia & China and shall pay special attention to working out commercial and technical issues of such services for the national TV companies.

RSCC and China SatCom came to an agreement about joint use of their satellite capacities and earth station facilities as well as about joint marketing in order to develop their services and enter new promising markets.
About RSCC
The Russian Satellite Communication Company (RSCC) was founded in 1967. The company is registered at the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), is a shareholder of Intelsat and Eutelsat companies and co-operates on a long-term basis with the International Organization of Satellite Communications Intersputnik. RSCC is a full-fledged member of the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC) and Word Teleport Association (WTA). It is a member of the operators council of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications (RCC) and a founder of the National Satellite Communications Assembly (NACA). The RSCC's service share in the domestic market of satellite communications is about 80%. RSCC possesses the largest satellite constellation of 16 satellites in Russia located in the geostationary orbital arc from 14 West to 145 East and operated in C-, Ku-, expanded Ku- and L-bands.
RSCC lets satellite segment capacities and information flows on the spacecraft of Gorizont, Express-A, Express-AM, Ekran-M series and the direct broadcasting satellites Bonum-1 and W4 as well as engineering facilities of the terrestrial stations and the ground high-speed fiber optic network to broadcast federal and commercial TV and radio programs, to deploy satellite telephone channels, to transmit data, to access Internet, to organize videoconferences, telemedicine and e-learning. The company deploys regional satellite distribution broadcasting networks, modern value-added telecommunication based on a unified engineering solution (VSAT), provides access to the space segments of the Intelsat and Eutelsat satellite communications systems, performs control and monitoring of Express-A, Express-AM, Bonum-1, Eutelsat, LM1, Intelsat satellites.
