The "Ukraine and World" international broadcasting TV program and "O-TV" youth-entertainment channel have been transmitted via Express-A1R satellite (40E) since March 1st, 2003.

The "Ukraine and World" international broadcasting TV program produced by the Ukrainian state-run broadcaster has been distributed via Express-A1R satellite (40E) since March 1st, 2003. The "O-TV" youth-entertainment channel has been also incorporated into a digital package of programs transmitted via transponder #20 (Ku-band) of the said satellite.

The Express-A1R was launched into orbit by RSCC in summer of 2002. The transponder power parameters and footprints of the spacecraft enable to receive and transmit TV and radio programs in Ku-band across European part of Russia, CIS countries, Central and Eastern Europe by applying dishes of small diameter.
